Ships from Utah, USA. In stock in Provo — not drop-shipped from overseas. Orders usually leave within one business day and arrive in 2–5 days across the US, or pick up free at our Provo or Sandy store. Metal hilt, RGB colour-changing baselit core, 32" dueling blade and USB-C charger included.

Squire Saber is the cheapest dueling lightsaber we sell and the one we hand to first-timers and kids: a 260 g machined aluminium hilt, an RGB S4 baselit core with a colour-changing blade and smooth-swing sound, and a 32" polycarbonate blade in the box. It is the same TXQ A01 hilt other US shops list at $135.

The Squire Saber is the place to start. It is the most compact hilt we carry — short, light and quick in the hand — and it comes in five anodised finishes: purple, green, red, blue and gold, each with a matching coloured pommel and emitter on a black body. It is a first lightsaber for a kid, a second one so someone can duel you, or a costume piece that still swings like a real saber.

Compact does not mean toy. The hilt is machined aluminium, the blade is the same thick-walled polycarbonate as the rest of the range, and the base-lit LED sits inside the hilt where a clash cannot reach it.

Key Features

  • Five Finishes: Purple, green, red, blue or gold anodised accents on a black machined hilt.

  • Compact and Light: The shortest hilt in our lineup, sized for smaller hands and fast, wristy dueling.

  • Illuminated Switch: Flush activation button with an LED accent ring.

  • Blade Included: 32" polycarbonate dueling blade in the box, plus a rechargeable battery and USB-C charging.

Electronics & Performance

Runs the RGB S4 base-lit core: infinite colour changing on the fly, motion-reactive smooth-swing sound, and flash-on-clash. Because the LED lives in the hilt rather than along the blade, it takes a hit better than a neopixel blade and costs a fraction of one.

Hilt weight and balance decide whether a saber feels right, and no photo shows either. Squire Saber is on the wall at our Provo and Sandy stores — if you are looking for a lightsaber store near Salt Lake City or Provo, come in and swing it before you buy. Store addresses and hours.

Frequently asked questions

  • S-RGB doesn't have any LED strips in the blade, which makes it less expensive, more durable, and good for people who like saber dueling.
  • Neopixel (SN-Pixel) is an affordable, beginner-friendly board with easy SD-card customization, using LED-strip blades for bright, customizable effects.
  • Proffieboard is the high-end, open-source standard for "saber artists", offering limitless, deeply programmable effects but with a steep learning curve, also using LEDs inside the blade.

Full comparison: RGB or neopixel — which is better for dueling?

Yes. Every saber we sell is a machined aluminium hilt with a thick-walled 1" polycarbonate blade and a baselit RGB core — the LED lives in the hilt, so a hard clash cannot break the electronics. That is the combination saber clubs duel on. Hilt weight and length are in the spec line on each page.

  • S-RGB allows you to cycle through 12 pre-set blade colors using the button controls.
  • SN-Pixel and Proffieboard feature a super-bright 50-watt blade with LEDs allowing you to cycle through 12 main colors (Red, Green, Blue, Purple, Orange, Yellow, Pink, and so on) and many shades in-between.

Yes. Our sabers advanced sensors to detect movement, allowing for gesture-based, button-free operation (e.g., twisting to ignite.) Smooth Swing technology adjusts the hum and swing sounds in real-time based on speed and force, while motion controls enable changing colors, fonts, or turning the blade on/off via gestures like throwing, pushing, or pulling.

The Neopixel and Proffieboard sabers are fully customizable. They include an SD card allowing you to add, remove, or edit sound fonts and blade styles.

The S-RGB sabers come with premium sound fonts which cannot be modified.

The number of pre-loaded sound fonts varies depending on the specific core/board type in the lightsaber:

RGB-S4 Core: Comes with 4 sound fonts pre-installed.
(These feature: Anakin, Maul, Luke, and Vader.)
